Miss Dance & Dance Master 2017 – Here We Come!

2016-10-24-bree-and-jack

A huge congratulations are in order for our extremely talented and hardworking Bree Quinton and Jack Skelton who yesterday secured their places in the IDTA’s prestigious national competition, Miss Dance and Dance Master!

At their Orpington heat, Bree & Jack impressed the adjudicator enough that it was a clean Berry Academy of Dance sweep for both Miss Dance and Dance Master. This will be Bree’s third time competing in Miss Dance, where this year she made it to the semi-finals with I Dreamed A Dream. Bree is currently the IDTA’s Modern Jazz Performer of 2016.

15 year old Jack will be making his first appearance at Dance Master next year with his fantastic tap routine as a cheeky porter. Jack recently took the lead part in Ecclesfield School’s production of High School Musical as Troy Bolton, and he also made it to the East Coast Tap Championships semi-finals earlier this year.

We must also congratulate our Rebecca Hanneman for taking runner-up in her heat this weekend, and wish all the best to Becky, Bridie, Alexandra, Charlotte & Eve as we’re sure it’s only a matter of time before they make it through to Miss Dance of Great Britain 2017.

Congratulations Jack & Bree, we can’t wait to cheer you on!

You’re invited to our fabulous Makeup Evening to raise funds for the school which will be taking place next Tuesday 18th October at 7.30pm at Malin Bridge Gas Club!

Younique’s cosmetics development processes utilize scientific research to ensure that these products contain high quality ingredients that enrich and nourish the skin. The result is a beautifully efficacious product that is safely compatible with virtually every skin type.

Younique begins by looking to Mother Nature for the inspiration behind the cosmetics. Their in-house scientific team then formulates a product that honors that inspiration while delivering cutting-edge cosmetics. The goal is to provide healthy, clean, and pure cosmetics.2016-10-13-younique-02

We had a simply fantastic time last Sunday with Enric, a cast member of the International Cats Tour, who led a brilliant workshop for our pupils.

Enric in costume & character on the professional Cats Tour

We were encouraged to get into feline character and learned a routine direct from the world-renowned show, as Enric taught us the Jellicle Ball. The professional choreography was fabulous and our pupils picked it up really well.

Many thanks to Enric for taking this class, we all had a great time and we wish you the very best with the tour.
